Ford Service
The Ford 2.0 Ecoblue engine uses a Wet Belt — a rubber timing belt that runs inside the engine, submerged in oil — unlike traditional timing belts, which run externally.

While Ford recommends replacing the wet belt every 10 years or 150,000 miles, we’ve seen many belts failing earlier due to poor servicing, incorrect oils, or lack of maintenance. To avoid costly engine damage, we advise replacing the belt around 8 years or 80,000 miles for peace of mind. If the belt fails, it can result in catastrophic engine failure, often requiring a full engine replacement.
The 2.0 Ecoblue engine was first introduced in the UK in 2016, meaning many vehicles are now due — or even overdue — for their wet belt replacement. The 2.0 Ecoblue engine is fitted to many Ford Transits and Rangers.

Wet Belt Service
Ford states the wet belt should be replaced at 120k miles. However, from personal experience working for Ford and completing hundreds of wet belt and engine replacements (due to snapped belts!), we recommend the belt be replaced at 60k miles. read more click here
